TC 00:12:00:00 — STREAMS
Stream Clipping
Stream clipping is a race podcast clipping is not. A moment from a live stream has a half-life measured in hours, and the audience for the clip is largest while the stream is still being talked about.
Mining the VOD
Start where the chat spiked: replay markers, chat bursts, and clip requests are a heat map of what the live audience already voted for. Work those timestamps first, then scan the quieter stretches for the story the chat missed.
Reframing for vertical
Streams are composed wide: facecam in a corner, action in the middle. Vertical cuts need a deliberate layout, usually face and action stacked, rebuilt per moment rather than center-cropped. A lazy crop is instantly visible and instantly skipped.
Speed and rights
Same-day is the standard; next-day is late. And clear the rights before you cut: a streamer’s permission to clip their VOD is the foundation the whole workflow sits on, for agencies and independent clippers alike.
